Improved Access, Safety and Connectivity

To increase access and safety for all neighborhoods along the 71 miles of the High Line Canal, these projects will focus on bridges, trailheads, improved connectivity, and ensuring a continuous trail with no gaps.
* Trailheads - Providing trailheads improves use and connectivity to prioritized access points.
* Trail Surface Enhancements - Improvements to trail surface and shoulder will accommodate varied users of all ages and abilities while reducing user conflicts.
* Pedestrian Bridges - The Canal’s channel creates an unsafe barrier to use without strategically located pedestrian bridges connecting users to the trail.
